A first-ever “Steeple Walk” by three Aurora churches raised $1,266 for Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry.

Reverend Tammy Scott, lead pastor at Wesley United Methodist, reported the total. She said, “Thank you for an amazing and successful event December 21. Wesley is sending a check for $1,193 and New England Congregational will be sending an additional $73 that they collected!”

Wesley, New England, and Our Savior Lutheran, neighboring west Aurora churches with steeples, teamed up for the fundraiser. During the two-hour event, approximately 70 people combined from the congregations walked from Wesley to Our Savior to New England. Each church hosted seasonal musical presentations and Our Savior and New England served refreshments. Musicians at New England included organist Daniel Segner, the chancel choir and Joy Ringers handbell choir.
