Members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley will hold their January membership meeting Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Oak Street Restaurant, 945 Oak Street, in North Aurora.
Meeting will be held in the East Banquet Room. Dinner is optional on members’ own from the menu at 5:30 p.m. and meeting begins at 6:30 p.m..
Guest Speaker for this month’s membership meeting will be Deepa Deshmukh, MPH, RDN, CDE, BC-ADM, a Functional & Integrative Nutrition Specialist and co-founder of DuPage Dietitians, 3080 Ogden Avenue, #104, Lisle.
Invite a friend, family member or business associate to attend this meeting with you, to learn more about eating healthy, to live longer. Guests are always welcome!
The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley will hold it’s January “Meet and Greet”, organized by media chairperson, Ann McBride, to expose our Club and our mission, Saturday, Jan. 17, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Legacy Nutrition & Fitness, 77 S. River Street, in downtown Aurora. Legacy Nutrition & Fitness is more than a gym — it’s a wellness hub for the community!
Legacy Nutrition & Fitness specializes in personal and group training and offers a full service nutrition bar, with delicious protein shakes, smoothie bowls, and teas.
Plan on stopping by, meet some of our members, pickup information on diabetes, prediabetes, healthy eating, and our Club’s new booklet “Recipes for Diabetics”.

Members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley work together, to provide diabetes awareness in the Fox Valley area, while raising funds to provide aid and education for diabetics, along with investing in research to find a cure. Uncontrolled blood sugar (glucose) can cause vision problems, heart problems, nerve damage, dental problems, kidney damage and more. Eat healthy, stay active and have a yearly blood test, to stay diabetes free!
The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization. A true grassroots organization, where all money raised through dues, donations and fundraising is used for the club’s fight against diabetes.
