VNA Health Care, the largest community health center in the Chicago suburbs, today announced it has been selected as a recipient of Endeavor Health’s 2026 Community Investment Fund Capacity Builder Award in the amount of $750,000. Through this partnership, VNA Health Care will expand one of its busiest Aurora health centers, increasing access to comprehensive primary care and supportive services for families in the community.
The investment from Endeavor Health will support the expansion of VNA’s Indian Avenue health center — which provides comprehensive primary care, including maternal-child health care and family practice — allowing VNA to serve more patients and meet growing demand for care in Aurora. The expansion will add 12 exam rooms, a lab and 38 parking spaces to meet demand and create a welcoming space for co-located services for the whole family. The renovations reinforce VNA’s commitment to reducing barriers to care and delivering high-quality, compassionate health services close to home.
“VNA Health Care has called Aurora home for more than a century, and this investment allows us to build on that commitment by expanding access to care for families who rely on us every day,” said Linnea Windel, president and CEO of VNA Health Care. “We are grateful to Endeavor Health for recognizing the critical role community health centers play in strengthening health outcomes. This partnership will help ensure that more parents, children and families can get the care they need in a welcoming, integrated setting — regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.”
The expanded health center will allow VNA to increase the number of patients served while integrating clinical care with supportive services such as nutrition assistance and family-friendly spaces. This approach reflects VNA’s long-standing commitment to innovative, community-centered care that meets patients where they are and supports healthier outcomes for the entire family.
