The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley will hold its February “Meet and Greet”, organized by media chairperson, Ann McBride, to expose our Club and our mission, Saturday, Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Panera Bread, 1330 N. Orchard Road, in Aurora.
Plan on stopping by to meet some of our members, pickup information on diabetes, prediabetes, healthy meal planning, and our new “Diabetic Recipes” booklet, while enjoying a tasty treat, and a great cup of coffee!
If you’re unable to attend our “Meet and Greet”, just send an E-mail with your name and mailing address to: Diabetesclubfv@gmail.com, requesting information on diabetes. The information will be mailed to you!
November is “National Diabetes Awareness Month”, however, members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley work together throughout the entire year, to provide diabetes awareness in the Fox Valley area!
The dangers of uncontrolled blood sugar (glucose) can cause vision problems, heart problems, nerve damage, dental problems, kidney damage, and more.
Eat healthy, stay active and have a yearly blood test, to stay diabetes free!
Members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley raise funds to support diabetes research at the University of Chicago’s-Kovler Diabetes Center, aid uninsured and underinsured diabetic patients at the VNA, assist diabetics in obtaining and/or supporting their diabetic or therapy support animal, through our “Jerry Youngren Diabetic and Therapy Animal Support Fund”, along with other meaningful donations to aid our Fox Valley community.
The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization. A true grassroots organization, where all money raised through dues, donations and fundraising is used for the club’s fight against diabetes.

Why not join our fight against diabetes? You don’t need to be diabetic to be a member of our club! Yearly individual membership dues are $50. Student dues are $25. Corporate dues are $150 per year, which includes a sponsorship listing on our website: www.diabeteshelpnearme.com.
