After worship, attendees were invited to sample chocolate treats in Fellowship Hall. Featured were chocolate fountains for adults and children, homemade cookies, candy, brownies and cakes.

According to Pastor Perrine, “The fest marks Fat Tuesday, the last Sunday before Lent, a 40-day season of fasting and reflection leading up to Easter.

“Also known as Mard Gras, Shrove Tuesday or Shrovetide, Fat Tuesday is a joyful conclusion to ordinary time and a joyful preparation for one of the most important religious seasons,” Rev. Perrine said.
