Judy Kay Albright (LaVoy), age 69, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, leaving behind a legacy of faith, devotion, and love for her family.

Judy was born on August 24, 1956, in Aurora, Illinois, and spent much of her growing up years in the Pigeon Hill neighborhood she proudly called home. She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy LaVoy, who passed away in 1958, and her mother, Barbara LaVoy, who passed away in 2015.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband, Bob Albright, with whom she shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. Their love story began at the Pizza Hut in Montgomery—now the site of Riverview Diner—and from that moment on, they were inseparable. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, partnership, and shared adventure.

She was a devoted mother to her two sons, Lucas (Barb) Albright and Benjamin (Anna) Albright, who were the great pride of her life. Judy was also a loving grandmother to Nicholas, Alexander, and Liberty, each of whom brought her immense joy.

Judy dedicated many years of service as a switchboard operator at Dreyer Medical Clinic in Aurora, later Advocate Health Care, where she was known for her kindness, reliability, and warm voice on the line. She retired in 2022 after a long and faithful career.

A devout Christian, Judy’s faith guided every aspect of her life. She and Bob attended Harvest New Beginnings Church in Oswego, where Judy also served on the church staff during her retirement, continuing her lifelong commitment to serving others.

In their retirement years, Judy and Bob embraced their love of travel, exploring the country together in their motorhome. Judy especially cherished their extensive journey throughout the western United States, a trip filled with beauty, discovery, and shared memories.

Judy also became a licensed horse groom during the years Bob owned Thoroughbred racehorses, a business and passion they enjoyed together. Her willingness to learn, support, and fully participate reflected the depth of her partnership with Bob.

Civically engaged, Judy was active in the Illinois Republican Women and served as chaplain for many years during the 1990s. While living in Oklahoma, she even ran for county clerk, demonstrating her dedication to public service and her community.

Above all else, Judy was most proud of the two sons she raised. Her life was defined by love, faith, service, and unwavering dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
