The Fort Hill Wellness Series continues with its next topic “Menopause” at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 21 at Fort Hill Activity Center, 20 Fort Hill Drive, Naperville.
Dr. Christy Takemoto, the medical director of Advocate OBGYN at Good Samaritan Hospital, will lead an hour-long discussion on menopause and perimenopause, including symptoms as well as treatment options and the risks and benefits they provide.
Menopause is a natural part of aging and marks the end of a person’s reproductive years. Symptoms may include hot flashes and night sweats, joint pain, brain fog, and mood changes.
This presentation is free for Fort Hill Fitness members, but members must register in person at Fort Hill Activity Center or by phone at 630-995-8900. Nonmember fees are $5 per person for residents and $8 for nonresidents; nonmembers need to register online at www.napervilleparks.org.
