In preparation for opening day of the Fabyan Windmill, 1500 Crissey Ave., Geneva, Sunday, June 7, the Forest Preserve District of Kane County invites the public to participate in a volunteer cleanup of the windmill, Sunday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m..
Staff and volunteers will we get the windmill ready by sweeping floors, polishing windows, and assisting with general cleaning throughout the structure. Activities will focus on preparing the interior from top to bottom, ensuring the site is ready to welcome visitors. Cleaning activities will wrap-up around noon, followed by a lunch provided by the Forest Preserve District.
