The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley will hold it’s July “Meet and Greet”, organized by media chairperson, Ann McBride, to expose our Club and our mission, Saturday, July 11, at the Aurora Farmers Market, from 8 a.m. to noon, 65 S. Water Street, in downtown Aurora.

Plan on stopping by, meet some of our members, pickup information on diabetes, prediabetes, healthy meal planning, and our “Diabetic Recipes” booklet.

Members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley celebrated our country’s 250th birthday marching in Aurora’s Fourth of July Parade, handing out frisbees to children along the parade route. This year’s parade may have been the biggest, in recent years!

Annual “Dan Jakusz Night”, fundraiser, to benefit the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley, is being held Saturday, Aug. 1, at Joliet Slammers Stadium, 1 Mayor Art Schultz Drive, Joliet. Joliet Slammers vs New York Boulders. First pitch at 6:05 p.m..

The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley meets monthly, on the second Wednesday of each month, January through November, at Oak Street Restaurant, 945 Oak Street, in North Aurora. Optional Dinner on member’s own at 5:30 p.m. and meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.. Guests are always welcome!

Members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley work together, to provide diabetes awareness in the Fox Valley area, while raising funds to provide aid and education for diabetics, along with investing in research to find a cure.
