The Summer Concert will features The Outset Trio and will include music by composer Mark O’Connor, whose works combine bluegrass, country, jazz, and classical.
The free concert: will be from noon to 1 p.m., Monday, July 13, at Lords Park Zoo, 325 Hiawatha Drive, Elgin.
The Outset Trio has been playing together in various forms around the Chicago area for over a decade, and features a violin, viola, and double bass. They met during their fellowship at the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and were inspired by their mentor Yo-Yo Ma to perform and pursue this trio project.
Bring chairs, blankets and lunch to enjoy these outstanding classical concerts under the bucolic shade of Tefft Farm’s trees.
