The City of Aurora government will host a Sustainability Town Hall from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 at 2185 Liberty Street, Aurora, as part of the Summer Civics Series.
The event will detail the City’s current sustainability efforts, ranging from green jobs to long-term environmental resilience, and will allow attendees to share ideas that will guide the next phase of community-driven climate and development work.
TerraCycle will also be tabling at the event, and will have two Zero Waste Boxes on hand to help with recycling! The Oral Care Box accepts used or empty toothpaste tubes and caps, toothbrushes, toothpaste cartons, toothbrush outer packaging, and floss containers from all brands. The Squeezable Snack Packaging Box accepts squeezable plastic snack pouches, caps, snack cups, and film lids. Attendees can learn about TerraCycle’s programming, operations, and efforts to recycle virtually everything!
