Candlelight vigil for national Suicide Awareness Day in Aurora

The City of Aurora government, in partnership with Simply Destinee, will host a candlelight vigil Thursday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. at Millennium Plaza, 21 S. Stolp Avenue, Aurora, to commemorate National Suicide Awareness Day.

The event, which will take place at Millennium Plaza in downtown Aurora, is set to serve as a solemn night of remembrance for those who have committed suicide, in addition to a time of connection and healing for those still struggling with mental health disorders.

Members of the public are invited to attend the vigil, which will involve the lighting of candles, sharing of stories, and a public stand to raise awareness.
