Oswego’s Little White School Museum will have two upcoming events at the historic Oswego Township Cemetery, 503 South Main Street, Oswego.
•Saturday, Sept. 25, the museum will host “Oswego History Tour- Oswego Township Cemetery,” starting at noon.
The Oswegoland Heritage Association and the Oswegoland Park District will host this leisurely stroll through the community’s history to visit the final resting places of everyone from one of Oswego’s founding fathers to Black and White Civil War veterans.
Pre-registration for $5 is recommended by calling the park district at 630-554-1010.
•Thursday, Oct. 1, starting at 5:30 p.m. the Little White School Museum will host their annual Oswego Cemetery Walk, also at the Oswego Township Cemetery.
Participants are invited once again to experience local history literally come to life as they are guided through the cemetery to visit with “ghosts” of early Oswego residents and pioneers.
Pre-registration for this popular event is required, $7 for Oswegoland Park District residents and $10 for non-residents. Call the park district at 630-554-1010 to register.
