Grandpa says: I thank everyone who wrote with information for which you are grateful. Read on:

• I am so happy for the “Pet of the Week” column in The Voice. I found my beloved (name withheld) there.

• I have reached my goal weight.

• I am thankful for learning about treating on-line payments carefully.

• I am grateful for having planned ahead for my retirement.

• God has blessed me with good health, a sound mind, and strong teeth.

• Your advice to be checked for male breast cancer and for the early detection that saved my life.

• Our granddaughter has been accepted at Laurie Children’s Hospital and will be treated for (her issue.)

• In reflection, I really have no insurmountable challenges. I can resolve things one step at a time.

• The bank accepted my house back and I was able to short-sell it for me after my divorce.

• My roommate was arrested by I.C.E. (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and sent back home. I can now get a roomy who is compatible.

• We really enjoyed the Aurora Pride Parade and are looking forward to next year’s!

• I am grateful that our president and governor both came from the world of business and are not career politicians.

• My satellite television contract is up! I can finally get rid of that useless expense!!

• I am very happy that 2018 is almost over. I hope that 2019 will be a better year.

• Thank you to The Voice for 10 years of reporting the good news in Aurora.

• I miss my husband greatly, yet I am comforted by how many attended his funeral.

• After 19 years in prison, I was released (in late Summer). I am grateful to a friend I met inside who let me move into his house. He got me a job. I am working and putting money into the bank.

• I am free! My divorce is final.

• I did not think we had much to be grateful for this year because our house is in foreclosure. Then my brother died and we can use his house.

• I would be real grateful if you don’t reprint that stupid Thanksgiving day poem from last year.

• My doctor has quit hounding me to lose weight. I haven’t lost any, but she has quit hounding me.

• We are pregnant with twins!

• We are grateful to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital for everything they are doing for our (child).

• Please tell Charles Coddington that we love his column in The Voice.

• Our car is finally paid off, and it is still in running condition.

• Our family is grateful to the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry in Aurora. Without their help we would not eat all year long.
