The Oswego Senior Center, 156 E. Washington Street, Oswego, will be host to many events for seniors. All events will take place at the Oswego Senior Center unless otherwise noted.
• Valentine Dinner Dance, Saturday, Feb. 9.
Oswego Senior Center invites all ages are to a fun-filled Valentine evening with a dinner buffet, entertainment, and dancing at the Oswego Kicker’s Club, 1015 Harvey Road. The event will be held Saturday, Feb. 9 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.. Tickets are $25 each or two tickets for $35. Reservations and payment are due by February 6 at the Oswego Senior Center, 156 E. • Fit and Strong, January 14 – March 8, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m..
An ideal free program will help participants age 60 or more gain a clear understanding of what osteoarthritis is and how physical activity can help them manage arthritis symptoms. The free eight-week course is sponsored by the Oswego Senior Center. The program will meet 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays through March 8. • Doctors Note Series, Periodontal Disease, Tuesday, Jan. 22, 11 a.m..
Fox Valley Dental specialists will review and discus several factors that increase the risk of developing periodontal disease. They will review the warning signs and how to prevent periodontal disease and instruct on options of prevention with a focus on oral hygiene.
• Medicare Discussion: New to Medicare?, Wednesday, Jan. 23, 11 a.m..
Turning 65 soon? This month at the Oswego Senior Center will discuss what you need to know when you are new to Medicare, including, what are the options and timeframes for registering. To make an appointment with a SHIP counselor, to RSVP or to make an individual appointment call 630-554-5602.
