State representative Linda Chapa LaVia, D-Aurora, recently was host to a successful seminar on state tax credits at the Richard and Gina Santori Public Library of Aurora and provides cost-saving information to the residents of Aurora.
“With politicians in Washington passing legislation that primarily benefits the ultra-wealthy, I wanted to make sure that working families in my community know about all the options available to them at the state level to lower to their tax bill,” Chapa LaVia said.
“I want to thank these great organizations for working with me to provide this important information to the residents of Aurora and help local residents learn how to keep more of what they earn.”
Chapa LaVia worked with the Taxpayers Federation of Illinois and the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability to be host to a seminar on State tax credits. The seminar focused on the State’s new tax credits and exemptions, providing residents with information on how to keep more of their hard-earned money this tax season.
Those residents who were unable to attend, or anyone who would like more information, they may contact Chapa LaVia’s office at 630-270-1848, Carol Portman from the Taxpayers Federation at carol@iltaxwatch.org, or Tracy Schonberger from the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability at tschonberger@ctbaonline.org.
