One day good, the next day not, and death has come to call.
This is what we’re dealing with, and that includes us all.
But, when weeks go by with nothing happening to us,
We will get our dander up—start mouthing “what’s the fuss!”
Then the ‘no one’s going to tell me what to do’ sets in’
No regard is given to the fight we have to win.
“If they want to knock their socks off, go ahead, not me!”
“Besides, there’s plenty like me who insist on being free.”
So the effort of those saving lives is just ignored;
Simply because there’s no effort reaching an accord.
Attitudes like this endanger those who do their best—
Not to be a victim or a danger to the rest.
For an attitude like this, indeed, is a sad sight;
Not only that, on human nature it becomes a blight.
Attitudes like this are really not worth being saved;
Logically, upon those graves, that phrase should be engraved.
