I have been a lot of places
And have seen a lot of faces
Of most any kind of person, where, and when.
Of them all the most beguiling
Would be those who would be smiling
With a smile brought on by seeing you again.
Though misfortune may have found them
Or poor circumstance surround them,
Yet their smile was always ready come what may.
Yes there’s nothing so inviting,
Or, when things are tense, requiting,
As a beaming smile that’s ready come what may.
So, my friends let me implore you,
Take this hint I offer for you,
Or at least agree to give it a fair trial;
If you light your face with laughter,
Peace and joy could reign thereafter
For there’s nothing quite so winning as a smile!
