Trick-or-treating at Aurora City Hall offers a quick, one-stop-shop for families to celebrate the holiday amid the cold temperatures.
The 7th annual Halloween at Aurora City Hall event from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31, will welcome hundreds of children and families to downtown Aurora before they head to the neighborhoods for trick-or-treating.
More than 20 City departments, including the Aurora Police Department and Aurora Fire Department, will have tent booths lining the Water Street Mall adjacent to City Hall, where costumed staff members will distribute candy and prizes.
The popular event will also feature a live DJ and music and indoor photo opportunities with real bats, skunks, and tarantulas, along with live Katrinas in honor of Day of the Dead.
To battle the cold temperatures, the City government is distributing cups of hot cocoa and heat towers will line the block.
Official Aurora trick-or-treating hours are from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m..
