West Aurora High School’s music department will stage its 37th annual madrigal dinner and dessert concerts December 14-15 at the student cafeteria, 1201 W. New York Street in Aurora.
The public is invited. Parking is free.
The dinner concert with a three-course feast will take place Saturday, Dec. 14, at 6 p.m. in the great hall. The event is sold out. A dessert performance is at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. Tickets are $16. Order tickets at Wachoir.org.
Volunteers will deck the hall the Friday before the event. After a town crier welcomes guests and food is served, the Madrigal Singers, Lyric Chorus and Royal Brass will perform in period costumes.
West culinary arts students will prepare the menu. Sunday’s dessert concert includes cheesecake with berries, coffee and wassail.
Seating is available in groups of six to eight persons. Handicapped seating is available on request.
