Another drive-in movie experience in Oswego!

The Village of Oswego’s retro drive-in movie experience is back. The socially distanced outdoor movie experience will feature the classic Free Willy, Thursday, July 30.

For just $5 per vehicle, plus applicable online ticketing fee, watch a classic tale of friendship and freedom next Thursday night at the Oswego Park N Ride lot on Station Drive. Plus, each vehicle will get a $5 gift certificate for a sweet treat at La Yummy Michoacana, 4530 Route 71, Oswego, upon arrival. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and the movie begins at dark, approximately 9 p.m..

There are 50 spaces available for this event, and registration is open to Oswego residents on a first-come, first-served basis. Photo ID proving Oswego residency will be required at check-in.

Purchase one ticket per vehicle. A ticket is not required for each individual guest. Make space for the neighbors, one vehicle only per household, please. In the case of a sold-out event, send an E-mail to jhoffman@oswegoil.org and request to be added to the mailing list. You will be notified by E-mail if a space opens up.

To ensure the best viewing experience for everyone, vehicles will be assigned parking based on vehicle size and whether or not the back hatch will remain open during the movie.

La Yummy Michoacana will sell goodies on site. Please bring cash to support our local Oswego business and enjoy a tasty treat.

Social distancing guidelines will be in effect.

Keep your family and your community healthy! The following guidelines will be in effect at the event:

• Park vehicles every other stall, following instructions from parking volunteers;

• Watch the movie from your own vehicle;

• Wear a face mask when outside of your vehicle

• Maintain six feet between yourself and others;

• Do not enter the event if you’re feeling ill or have been directed to self-quarantine within the last 14 days

• Families are urged to use bathroom facilities before attending the event; however, port-o-lets will be available for emergencies.
