The Tomcat Youth Tackle Football team receives honors at the Aurora City Council meeting Tuesday for capturing the Big 10 State championship of the Chicago Youth Football League. The 7th and 8th graders were 8-1 in the regular season and earned the No. 2 seed in the top bracket to compete in the Super Bowl State championship game November 17 at Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein. The Council unanimously approved, with one absence, the design for an approximately 195,000 square-foot consolidated public works facility near Liberty and New York Streets.
