A signature sign of Summer in Aurora is here.
The Aurora Farmers Market opened for its 111th season, with nearly 50 vendors.
Every Saturday morning from June 10 through October 14, patrons can visit the State’s oldest farmers market from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Water Street Square, 65 S. Water St., across from Aurora City Hall in downtown Aurora.
New vendors will join dozens of familiar farmers and fan favorites to offer something for everyone in the family, including various fruits, vegetables, fish, cheese, and bread, along with beautiful plants, flowers, and other locally made products.
Visitors can enjoy a Saturday morning downtown Aurora shopping at the market, eating cooked-to-order food, listening to live music, visiting local businesses, and touring the City’s new Warhol art installations.
Beginning in July, weekdays markets will complement the weekend market:
- Every Wednesday from July 12 through August 16, the new Music and Market will be the perfect blend of fresh food and tunes from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Stolp Ave. between Downer Place and Galena Blvd.
- Every Thursday from July 13 through August 17, the Aurora Farmer Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the West Plaza Shopping Center, 1901 W. Galena Blvd.
The Aurora Farmers Market is the oldest in Illinois and has operated continuously in the downtown area since 1912.
