Aurora Fire Department personnel fight a fire on the roof of the former and empty Masonic Temple building on the southeast corner of Benton Street and Lincoln Avenue in Aurora late Monday and early Tuesday. The building will brought down, according to the briefing Tuesday afternoon in City Hall. Aurora Firefighters appear to let a fire burn under control at the old and abandoned Masonic Temple at the corner of Benton Street and Lincoln Avenue on the City’s near East Side. The call came in just before 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7. No injuries or fatalities were reported in the first hour. The cause is under investigation.
