Included were a Brunch Church, part one of a three-part Lego-ideas sermon series and “Building Together: A Time of Holy Conversation.”

The Reverend Tammy Scott, pastor, opened activities in the Gathering Place room by inviting congregants to take part in a first-ever potluck brunch. Additionally, she distributed Lego plastic blocks at each table to encourage craft projects during worship.

Rev. Scott opened her three-part Lego ideas sermon series with “Build: How God is Building our Lives and our Church.” She continues the series at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 29, with “Believe: How Each of us is Made with Love and Intention.”

Activities concluded with “Building together: A Time of Holy Conversation.” During table discussions, attendees addressed current and future church needs, hopes, fears, dreams, callings and questions. Volunteers recorded wrote comments on sticky notes that were displayed on poster sheets hung around the room.

The activities, Pastor Scott explained, were designed to offer a time of shared food, simple worship around tables and meaningful conversation about what is next for Wesley.
