Are you further along in the process and need job opportunities? Teens are invited to attend our Young Adult Job Fair at the Eola Road Branch Saturday, Feb. 9, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.. This second annual event will provide teens and young adults the opportunity to network and meet both community and global businesses. Some businesses invited include Endiro Coffee, Amazon, Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois, and Benedictine University. You will find a wide range of positions available from volunteer opportunities to seasonal positions and even full-time employment. This event not only will be a great way for businesses to connect with you, but for you to get to know more about them. They will distribute flyers with more information, provide job applications, and promote their businesses.
Flannery Crump, teen librarian at Eola Road Branch, said “I think attendees will be pleased with the opportunity to network and interact with the businesses in their community. It’s a great opportunity to get your face out there to find a job, but it’s also a great opportunity to ask these businesses about their practices, their business models, and about what they contribute to Aurora. I also think that attendees will appreciate the mix of local, small, businesses, larger chains, trade unions, and volunteer organizations. We wanted to highlight as many different types of businesses as possible, to reflect the diversity of Aurora’s workforce.”
Those interested should take advantage of this amazing opportunity to network, bring your resumé, and prepare for a potential impromptu interview.Whether you join us at our Young Adult Job Fair or online with Brainfuse JobNow, we hope to help with your professional development and success!
