There will be a vibrant and festive celebration when the 52nd Annual Aurora Puerto Rican Heritage Festival returns to downtown Aurora from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 28. The anticipated event will showcase the richness of Puerto Rican culture through music, food, dance, and activities.
Family fun
- Free kids area: A special zone dedicated to children, offering a range of entertaining activities to ensure they have a fantastic time.
Culinary delights
- Puerto Rican Cuisine: There will be a variety of traditional Puerto Rican dishes that will capture the essence of the Island’s culinary heritage as well as tasty authentic desserts.
- Drinks: There will be refreshing piña coladas, Puerto Rico’s famous Medalla beer, and with a choice of a selection of other beverages.
Live entertainment
- Music: There will be live performances of jibaro, merengue, and salsa music, along with DJ sets that will keep the energy high.
- Bomba Performance: Present will be the captivating rhythms and movements of a live bomba performance.
- Headline Concert: The festival will feature an electrifying performance by the renowned Brenda K Starr.

- Pageant Court introduction: There will be introductions of the new pageant court when it is are introduced to the community.
- Scholarship Awards: There will be salutes of the achievements of outstanding individuals when scholarship introductions will be made on stage.
