Montgomery-based Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity will open its west Aurora ReStore Friday, Sept. 25, at 2302 W. Indian Trail in Aurora. The public is invited. Parking is free.

Highlight of the event will be a raffle of a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro to benefit the affordable housing ministry.

The winner of the Camaro will be announced at 11 a.m. Friday during a grand opening for the ReStore.

Barbara Zegiel, Habitat funds coordinator, said the blue classic was donated by an anonymous man “…who wants us to raise money for the new ReStore.“ Habitat’s ReStore is a resale store specializing in new and gently used home goods.

According to Zegiel, donations are needed to stock the ReStore. Donations can be dropped off on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Porch or garage pickup of donations is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Call 630-206-5038.

Donors will receive a 50% discount coupon for one item in the store.
