Joe Kosner, right, interim president of the Aurora Sunrise Rotary Club, gives a thankful handshake to Joel Friend, left, director of corporate giving and sponsorships, for a very interesting program January 19 on the Paramount Theatre. The Club members were surprised to learn that everything having to do with the major performances is done in Aurora. The cast members can come from anywhere, but audition in Aurora. Costumes and wigs are designed and produced in the tailor shop connected to the theater, and the sets are built in Aurora. Joel Friend briefly talked about the headaches of the pandemic, the rescheduling of performances, and reassigning the seats. He was generous with free theater tickets to be used at the auction at the Club’s Wine and Chocolate Dinner Extravaganza March 26. Tom Clark photo
