The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced that both NACC football playoff semifinal games Saturday, April 10, were canceled due to concerns for health and safety protocols.
AU, the South Division champion, 3-0, was set to be host to North Division-runner-up Wisconsin Lutheran College, 1-2, and North Division champion Lakeland University, 3-0, was set to play host South Division runner-up Benedictine University, 2-1.
The NACC determined that the game between Lakeland and Benedictine, and the game between AU and Wisconsin Lutheran, will not be played.
The NACC football playoffs will continue Saturday with divisional champions AU and Lakeland playing at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 17, in Aurora. Wisconsin Lutheran will play at Benedictine in Lisle the same day.
The status of both games Saturday is subject to change based on the relevant health and safety protocols governing each competing institution.
