Auroran Brown receives Distinguished Award

Brown, was surprised with the award, the Club’s highest honor, at the Lions’ charter night dinner at Aurora Country Club December 12. Michele Needham, past president and award selection coordinator, made the presentation. Brown emceed the event although his award was a secret until it was announced.

The award is given to Aurora Lions for devoted service to the club and Lionism.

Brown became an Aurora Lion in February 2022. Currently he serves as co-president and membership chairman.

“I am honored to receive the Distinguished Service Award from the finest service organization in the world, Lions Club,” Brown said.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my friends and neighbors throughout Aurora and look forward to working with the Aurora Lions Club in numerous activities for years to come.”
