Aurora’s Fox Valley Festival Chorus previewed their annual holiday concert Sunday, Dec. 8, with a program Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Chorus members under the direction of Mary Beth McCarthy presented a concert for the Aurora Area Retired Teachers Association. With a craft fair, cookie exchange and collection of winter gear for Aurora school kids, the AARTA held its annual holiday luncheon meeting at Lincoln Inn Banquets in Batavia.

In an after-lunch concert, chorus members presented music “From Paris to the North Pole,” the group’s annual holiday concert set for Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Aurora, 27 S. Edgelawn Drive in Aurora. Music performed Tuesday included “White Christmas,” “Let there be Peace on Earth” and “12 Days after Christmas.” Eleanor Strong provided piano accompaniment.

The public is invited to the Dec. 8 event. Parking is free. Admission is $15.

AARTA’s third annual December winter gear collection benefits Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry, an Aurora nonprofit.
