Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry in Aurora will hold a back-to-school fair with free school supplies, a pop-up market and outdoor cooking class on Saturday, July 27.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Marie’s Garden, an urban farm at 834 N. Highland Avenue in Aurora.
The public is invited. Admission is free.
While supplies last, bags of school supplies will contain two spiral notebooks, two folders, one packet of looseleaf paper, one box of crayons, one box of colored pencils, No. 2 pencils, pens and glue. Rulers, scissors and other items may be available for high school students.
At 11 a.m., VNA clinical dietician and advanced diabetes educator Deepa Deshmukh will give an outdoor cooking class in the garden. Food samples will be served.
A drawing for an electric hot pot and grill combo will take place at 12:30 p.m. The winner must be present to claim the prize.
