Occupants at Bardwell Residences, 99 units for seniors at Aurora’s restored Copley Hospital, began moving in Wednesday, April 12.
Included were two Aurorans. In the morning, Jeane (last name withheld), moved in; in the afternoon, Bienvenido (last name withheld), a man, moved in.
The move-ins culminated two years of restoration by Fox Valley Developers, a $128 million project, at the campus renamed Bloomhaven. Management is by Gardant Management Solutions.
At 301 Weston Avenue, Bardwell features units for seniors in independent, assisted living and memory care layouts. Included are studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.
Amenities include a full kitchen, private bathroom, ample closet space, individually controlled heating and air conditioning and large windows with coverings.
Services include a restaurant-style midday meal, weekly housekeeping and linen services, recreational activities and on-site beauty/barber services.
