Batavia, you amaze me. I asked earlier in the day if anyone had a wagon I could borrow for my foster girl for a day. She has some wounds that need to heal and all those stitches and staples make it so she can’t walk much. But she loves being outside and keeps trying to hobble down the sidewalk to explore. I felt horrible walking my dog Heaven and leaving Maddie behind. I wanted one day with a wagon to let her experience the good life.
Well, within 30 minutes of my post, not only did I have multiple offers of wagons to borrow, but an amazing woman had dropped one off. And Miss Maddie and I are eternally grateful. She sat and took in the world with a smile on her face the entire time. And because she was wearing a very fashionable shirt that should have been cleaned from my closet long ago, but I have hoarded (we won’t talk about that, though) she even got to ditch the cone for a while. Although I don’t know her entire past, I feel very confident saying that this wagon made it the best day of her life.
And as a bonus, we get to borrow the wagon all week. So when you see a crazy girl wandering town with a dog in a wagon and another trying to eat all of the grass everywhere, it’s just me and Miss Maddie and Heaven living our best lives in our favorite little town.
