Batavia Lions Club to hold plant sale

Batavia Lions Club will be host to its 39th annual plant sale fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 8.
Plants include geraniums, combination baskets, variegated impatiens, lantanas, and petunias.

Lori Wilson, fundraiser chair, said stationary wagons will be in the 7-Eleven parking lot at Wilson and Prairie Streets, at HC Storm Elementary School, 305 N. Van Nortwick and on Main Street at Mallory Street across from 709 Main Street in Batavia. A roaming wagon will tour Woodland Hills and 14th Colony.

Charter members of the Club, founded in 1974, will sell baskets.

Proceeds will benefit Lions’ vision and hearing programs, diabetes research, scholarships and Batavia Interfaith Pantry.
