Poem: Be Careful What You Think

An old man had died, who had been of good stock,
Who also was proud of his Grandfather’s clock,
Which also had stopped with the former’s last breath,
A singular tribute upon the man’s death.
When something like this does occur, in a sense,
We tend to then label it coincidence.
But that quickly fades, for you cannot define
Any logical sequence along the same line.
There’s too many logical ways that won’t work;
Plus “out of this world” facts which one cannot shirk.
Our concept of time is of human design;
A clock is man-made, so that falls into line.
So how can a death affect something man-made.
The answer to that has the surreal displayed.
There’s more to this world than our senses can hone;
There’s one thing for sure–we are not here alone!
