Blackberry Farm Pumpkin Weekends throughout October

The peninsula that makes up the southwest shoreline of Lake Gregory provides staff at Blackberry Farm, 100 S. Barnes Road, Aurora, an annual measuring stick when varieties of maple, oak and birch trees begin their green-to-gold transformation.

And cooler-weather color at Blackberry means it’s time for Pumpkin Weekends, the annual celebration of all things Fall, that take place on Saturdays and Sundays October 4 to 26, and Columbus Day Monday, Oct. 13.

Admission is $10 for every guest age one or older, and includes access to all amenities and rides, such as the replica steam-engine train, hay wagons, carousel, and ponies. Park hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day during Pumpkin Weekends.

2025 Special Events

Each weekend day of Pumpkin Weekends features a special event or guest “which adds a special touch without the extra cost,” said Oldenburg. “Trick-or-Treat day is huge because kids get to go home with extra treats they collect throughout the park. It adds that Halloween vibe.”

Here’s a look at all special events planned:

Oct. 11: Pumpkin Carver, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.;

Oct. 12: Face Painter, noon to 3 p.m.;

Oct. 18: Trick-or-Treat, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.;

Oct. 19: Jeanie B! Children’s Concert, 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.;
