A habitat restoration work-day will be held at Bliss Woods Forest Preserve from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25. Cutting and stacking invasive woody plants will be the main tasks. Please dress in layers for the weather including warm, sturdy shoes, or boots, and warm work gloves. If you have loppers, please bring your own or use the ones we have.

Bliss Woods is a beautiful, high-quality woodland and host to many unusual plants.

Removing invasive species will help sustain its unique nature.

Volunteers will gather in the main parking lot off of Bliss Road in Sugar Grove.

Refreshments will be available at the break. Anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. For further information please send to Mary Ochsenschlager at maryoxie@sbcglobal.net or call Robb at the Kane County Forest Preserve at 630 232-5980.
