Dear editor;
As usual Marjorie Logman chooses a unique item to discuss in her commentary “A piece of the shattered vase should return to the rest” about the results of a broken vase…division” in The Voice.
First tell me, who broke the vase? I believe it was the liberal movement calling for diversity. Diversity scatters unity where moral issues are involved. Show me a time when they aren’t.
If, as Marjorie Logman suggests, the White Evangelicals almost worship the president, that would be a sin, not a crime, if it is as she suggests. The liberals pushing for diversity, created a moral war we cannot surrender to. Their objectives are not just working for equality and justice, which the vase should represent.
Unfortunately, both sides of the aisle are guilty of hypocrisy, inside and out, which means these battles will last forever more.
Show me where there is a sane, logical, honest team of 12, where all agree and don’t stack the deck in voting for leadership, and I will send them a check. The pro-life movement which supposedly wants the same victory for life, are too numerous to count. Working together…hardly ever. Ditto, the pro-aborts. Is Logman willing to try to glue them back together?
Quoting Fr. Bernard Bassett, SJ “We are just actors on a stage. We lack unity of mind, heart, and speech, three parts needed to compose sanity.” Logman and I write our own scripts, our prejudices, and moral paths for the betterment of the readers, we hope and pray.
