Bureau Gravity’s second event in their “What Matters” Photo and Video Contest & Gallery series has been rescheduled to Friday, December 2 from 6 p.m. -9 p.m. at their downtown Aurora production studio to showcase and empower the next generation of young creatives..
Bureau Gravity is proud to support local creators as a media incubator that encourages economic development by bridging the communication gap between local communities, businesses, and government officials.
The gallery will feature the work of the amatuer and professional contestants on digital displays throughout the exhibit, and will offer young creators a question and answer session with a panel of industry experts.
Award-winning photographer and cinematographer Stuart Thurlkill is the featured artist and panelist for the evening. Thurlkill creates visual content across a multitude of industries including Travel, Leisure, Industrial, Editorial, and Lifestyle, and offers photography workshops to young entrepreneurs and creatives.
When asked why he believes it’s important that young creatives get involved in workshop series like What Matters, Thurlkill said, “I’ve learned more by working with somebody in a mentorship role in a month or two of them steering me, than I’ve ever found from sitting with a book. Books are valuable, certainly, but experience grows us infinitely.”
Contest winners will be announced during the event, and the top applicants in each category will win a cash prize. The event is free to attend and open to the public, please register via at tinyurl.com/mv9du9m8
