Carpet causes hold at West Branch Aurora Public Library

There will be temporary service changes at West Branch Aurora Public Library March 30-April 1 to install new carpet. The facility will be closed those dates. There will be no in-person services available in order to install carpet at the entrance.

Curbside hold pickup, the digital library, Chromebook & hotspot bundles, and our two other APLD locations will be available during the closure.

Immediately following this closure will be phase 2 which includes the installation of carpet in the interior of the Branch including West Branch living room, computer areas. Limited services will be provided at the entrance.

Customers can take advantage of Curbside Hold Pickup, place items on hold from home and schedule a pickup time for items to be placed in their vehicles. In addition, Chromebook and hotspot bundles are available to West Branch customers only! Borrow a bundle up to a week for all your technology needs. For more information or to reserve a bundle visit the West Branch front desk. The digital library is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to accommodate your reading, video, and listening needs. All you need is your APLD library card to get started. The remaining two locations: Santori Library and Eola Road Branch will continue to be open during normal business hours. In addition, the Bookmobile will be in the West Branch parking lot for customers to browse and pick up holds Tuesday, March 29: 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Wednesday, March 30: 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Thursday, March 31: 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.; and Friday, April 1: 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m..

West Branch manager, Scott Grotto says “we apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate customers’ patience during this process. We hope this refresh to West Branch will have customers excited to visit once our remodel is complete.”
