Cat Battista, executive director of the Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry, shares her journey moving from the private to the non-profit sector with members of the Kiwanis Club of Aurora, Tuesday, at the Prisco Center. Ranked one of the top attorneys in the State and named a “Super Lawyer” by Chicago Magazine for seven consecutive years, she shocked many when she retired from litigation and decided to pursue front end social justice. After being diagnosed with bi-polar disorder she decided to pursue front end social justice. She is working to use private sector processes in the non-profit sector to effectuate change and eliminate back end justice. She has become an advocate for individuals struggling with bi-polar disorder and started a flower ministry with her daughters two years ago. Jason Crane/The Voice
