We at The Voice place a high value on information submitted for print. It is all part of the conversation pieces among neighbors, and, essentially, that is what we all are; neighbors, trying to get along, help our families and friends, and be better associates in the larger sense.
These items are meaningful, even if they do not stop the presses:

The information reminder: “Regardless of the time of year, it is never safe to go out on the water, even when it appears to be frozen. Ice thickness and strength are difficult to determine. Apparent ice can be affected by varying temperatures, from day to day, and even hour to hour. Thin spots can be formed at any time. Parents should teach their children to stay away from retention ponds in the Winter and to observe safe practices.”

Clear and Concise, Week 1, Year 2:
• Helpful hints for clarity in the written word, (language), and in pronunciation, and spoken word was the objective at the start of 2020. Little did we know one year ago that COVID-19, political upheaval, and sickness were around the corner. We have passed 350,000 deaths in the U.S. of COVID-19. If we had understood one year ago what was ahead, perhaps time spent on medical information would have been helpful. Who cares about the English language when sickness and death have been set upon the populous?
• Still, we persist the calling.
