Brian Caputo, president of College of DuPage and chairman of Aurora Complete Count Committee presents information about Census 2020 Tuesday at the Kiwanis Club of Aurora meeting at the Prisco Center. He said to look for the forms in the mail because there is a lot at stake and everyone’s participation is needed. Any under-counting will lead to financial losses to the community. The financial impact upon Illinois over 10 years for one person not counted is an estimated $14,000.00. He said the information is confidential, not shared outside of the Census Bureau, and there is nothing to fear. Census data is used to distribute more than $675 billion annually in federal funds. The 2020 Census will determine congressional representation, in the form of hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding, and provide data that will impact communities for the next decade. Aurora Census 2020 will begin April 1 and the count will end July 2020. Jason Crane/The Voice
