Chef Showdown Battle of Champions tickets on sale

Loaves & Fishes Community Services Naperville Chef Showdown, “Battle of the Champions” will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 at Loaves & Fishes Community Services, 1871 High Grove Lane, Naperville.

The event will be presented in partnership with My Chef Catering and will help raise funds for essential services for struggling families who come to Loaves & Fishes in Naperville.

The “Battle of the Champions” will showcase the winning restaurants from the past two years of the competition. Executive chef, Eddie Sweeny, from Catch 35 and executive chef, Austin Fausett, from Che Figata will compete to create unique dishes in a stadium kitchen assembled for the competition.

The competing chefs will be assisted by celebrity sous chefs and Loaves & Fishes supporters, Beth DeGeeter, Dean’s Clothing of Naperville; Natasha Marriner, Wipfli CPAs and Consultants; Nelson Santos, Scientel Solutions; and Benny White, Joliet West Sr. Army Instructor JROTC. Dishes will be voted upon by a panel of select judges, including Naperville mayor Steve Chirico.

The evening will be emceed once again by Ray Kinney from Blooming Color and Nicki Anderson from Benedictine University.

Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy delicious cocktails and appetizers provided by My Chef Catering. New additions to this year’s event are “Feel the Heat Seats,” which are reserved ringside seats where you can experience the excitement and energy of the kitchen with a close-up view of all the action. This ticket includes a personal server for the night and a visit to the ice bar. Another new addition is the Ice Bar in our walk-in cooler, where guests can chill out and enjoy a cocktail in the icy lounge. The event will include a moment to raise the paddle for Loaves & Fishes Community Services.

Tickets start at $100, are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting www.loaves-fishes.org. This event sold out quickly last year, so purchasing your tickets in advance is highly advisable.
