Just in time for Independence Day, six Chicagoland Midas franchises are teaming up to make a powerful impact. Store owners from Tinley Park, Downers Grove, Grayslake, Chicago, Evanston, and Barrington will donate six vehicles to local veterans in a special July 2 event at Soldier Field as part of Midas’s nationwide Project Spark initiative.

I’m reaching out today to invite you to the event—and can even arrange a live-shot if you are interested.

Each refurbished vehicle will be donated to a veteran in need. Recipients include:

•James Church (Kane County) – A single father of three and a highly decorated Army combat veteran who served in Iraq.

•Amy Bergeron (Kane County) – A single mom of six who served in the U.S. Army. Her eldest child is currently serving in the U.S. Navy.

•Jason Shanahan (Kane County) – A disabled veteran who served as an E-4 Specialist in the U.S. Army.

•Jacob Frascona (Kane County) – A distinguished Marine who served honorably for four years in multiple capacities.

•Robert “Tyler” Misla (Kane County) – A dedicated single father of two, who proudly served in the United States Army for five years, including a deployment to Iraq where he fulfilled the role of a cook.

•Joe Vaghetto – An Italian immigrant who served in the U.S. Army as a Specialist 4 Tech.
