To most of you, what’s said here won’t mean anything,
To others, it will bring back haunting memories.
There are those episodes in every life which sting
Each time they are remembered, doomed to never cease.
In looking back, each one will violate the norm;
What you feel would be logical will not be there.
And when you try to trace its sequence it will form
Illogical in scope, with nothing to compare.
But in your past you had a crisis at least once
Which had a tragic ending, (the way you looked at it).
That other crisis’ ending looms again, and shunts
The possibility of hope you pray would fit.
Your Guardian Angels have vast powers so to aid,
But there are times when they can see they cannot win.
When they determine this, and all solutions weighed,
Determining the merit, God is then called in.
So then and there, if this hits home, you know full well
That “miracle” you prayed for had just come to be;
And then, God’s presence may well be an easy sell,
But, being human, you may also fail to see.
