Workers brave 90+ degree heat in the city of Aurora government’s partnership with the Will County government to fill four semi-trailers with used electronics at a free electronics recycling event, Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the city’s of Aurora’s public parking Lot W, 309 N. River Street. All items were free to recycle, including televisions, but registration was required. Due to the high demand for service, the event was open to Aurora residents only. ID was required. Interested residents had to register for a time slot online or by calling a designated phone number. Each car was limited to five items in total, including two total screens, either television or computer screen. Only approved household items and electronics were accepted.
