The West Aurora Cemetery Board invites the public to an historic celebration of our fallen heroes with a presentation about five years after the Civil War, presented by the Sons of Civil War Veterans at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 25. Attendees should enter the cemetery on Wilder Street between Illinois Avenue and Plum Street. Please bring a folding chair. This is the oldest cemetery in Aurora, and has graves of the fallen from the War of 1812, the Spanish American War, WWI, and WWII. The Sons of Union Veterans will be dressed in Civil War uniforms. Special guests will include Abe and Mary Lincoln reenactors.
